Benefits of Using an Errand and Shopping List Printable

Keep Track of your Errands

Keep track of everywhere you have to go with this one simple sheet. By listing out all your stops you are less likely to forget a place or errand you need to run. Also, check your weekly tasks list to add anywhere you may have forgotten.

Save Time

Once you know all the stops you have to make you can plan the best day and route to go to as many places as you can at one time.  You can group errands that are close in proximity to one another. Plan out ahead of time and note your errand order on the sheet. After you are done making out your errand and shopping list sheet, you may realize you could combine lists from two stores and eliminate a stop.

Furthermore, to save time on errands, don’t go to stores and places during peak times of the day. Do your errands and shopping on weekdays if possible or early in the morning when the place opens or late in the day before it closes. You wouldn’t believe the time and hassle you save by doing your shopping and errands during non peak times.

Save Money

By writing or typing out your list, you may realize you do not need a certain item. It might have sounded good in your head, but when you see it on paper it is not necessary.

Next, having all your items listed out, helps you stick to the list while you are in the store. It helps you get in and get out quicker instead of browsing around or making an impulsive purchase.

Lastly, with using an errand and shopping list tracker, you can save money on gas with limiting the driving around and running errands more efficiently.

Components of the Errand and Shopping List Printable

How to Create the Shopping List Section

Then there is a box for notes, returns or exchanges. If you need to make any returns or exchanges note that in the box to the right. Be sure to have the receipt with you. In addition, in the notes section you could list the store hours or which store location you plan on going to if there is more than one in your area. This will help when planning your errands and run more efficiently.

Please note these shopping lists are mainly meant for retail, department, or home improvement stores. How to Use the Errand Section

There are many types of errands that we run. It could be something for our home, vehicles or yard. Maybe it’s something for school, work, or an event we are attending. It could be something you or a family member personally use or do.

When adding an errand to the weekly worksheet, list the name of the place you are going, the task(s) you need to complete there, and any notes. A note could include something you want to remember to do or ask while you are there or the hours/days the place is open.

Errands vary greatly on the time they take. An errand like getting an oil change will take much longer than stopping at the post office to mail a package.  Keep the errand length time in mind as you plan out your errand run to be as efficient as possible. Furthermore, it is easy to forget an errand we may need to do, so adding it to your weekly errand list will ensure it gets done.

Lastly, there is a check box by each store and errand so you can check them off as you complete them. This helps keep track of the places you have gone and what you have left to do.
